Eddie
Stobart
Eddie
Stobart wagons, everybody either loves them or hates them, or isn't really bothered
one way or the other about them. I am an avid member of the fan club, partly
because I think they are a class company with class trucks, but also because
of the social aspect of getting together with other members. Yes fans, I know
you are already thinking how can I fit this in with all my other social activities,
well my standard answer to this is - follow your heart friend, follow your heart.
Here I am pictured with another Eddie spotter, John Flowers. Now then,
I thought I was a bit obsessive about Eddie Spotting, but John Flowers puts
me to shame, he's travelled as far north as Gretna and as far south as Penrith
Truck Stop just to get those elusive missing truck numbers (actually I think
that makes him a bit of a saddo - thats why I am looking annoyed on the photo).
Still good luck to him, although please note, I got my T shirt a good ten minutesbefore
him, and spent the rest of the day telling the other Eddie spotters so, and
just for good measure pinched his sarnie box, took off the lid and burped in
it, just after I'd had a massive swig of dandelion and burdoch - NOW WHO LOOK'S
THE IDIOT, IT'S YOU FLOWERS.
Anyway,
what better way to calm down than to bump into pop princess Christina Aguilera
- who would have thought she was an Eddie Spotter. After some arm twisting,
I finally agreed to pose in a cab with Christina. It turns out that her mentor
is Bonnie Langford, and she knows of my close links with Bonnie (see
Dancing
page). I know I inspire lots of artists and musicians, and Christina was
no exception, she wanted me to put my arm around her for the photo, and I replied
'my hands are Dirrty', and wouldn't you know it, three months earlier she ended
up having a massive hit, BOTH SIDES OF THE ATLANTIC, with a song called 'Dirrty'.
More on how I didn't appear in the video next time fans.
